Non-Fiction in Stunning HD-S3
Oct 17, 2008 - 12:57 PM - by Kingdom_of_Zito
There may not be an eloquent way of describing it. It might not prove to be anything more than what it currently is. They frequently portray human greatness in movies as a supernatural quality that only existed before our times. Robert Redford was the “Natural” and Willie Mays was natural. You know that one is fiction and that one is a historic monumental figure only told through classic footage and interviews. Only Hollywood blurs the boundaries and makes us believe it’s real to this day. It is real. It is not fiction told to us by a well-paid actor or Kevin Costner. But to be a natural? Statistics and brandished 5 tools, that’s what defines a player greater than everyone around. But what about an aura of invincibility that even simply watching on the TV, you could feel the natural ascension to a place none of us can dream of reaching and subsequently making those around him better. Certainly this doesn’t describe our current or future president but just one nine starting... [Read More]

Kim Ng: The Best Potential GM You Might Not Know About.
Oct 15, 2008 - 4:26 AM - by Porter99
Some of us always way we can be a better general manager than the one we have right now. We all like to believe that Mission could run the Marlins better than anyone else could imagine. In reality, you have to get your foot in the door, pay your dues to say. Let me introduce you to a name you're probably hearing about a lot in some circles when it comes to an actual GM spot. Her name is Kim Ng, currently the assistant GM for the LA Dodgers. Yes, she could be the 1st woman to become a GM in MLB history. Wondering where the hell Kim came from? Here's a little 411 on how she got to this level of unprecedented possibilities.

Kim Ng graduated from the University of Chicago in 1991. She played softball for four years there and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy. Six months after graduating, Kim got an internship role for the Chicago White Sox. The internship was a special project analyst for the organization. Kim was later promoted to Assistant Director of Baseball... [Read More]

What to do if you're a Yankee Fan still interested in baseball
Sep 15, 2008 - 9:25 AM - by Dry1313
This year is a milestone year in the Bronx. Yes, it's the final season Yankee Fans will call the legendary Stadium on 161st street and River Avenue home. But (and all Yankee fans will be sure to emphasize the importance of this) this season also marks the first season since way back in the mid 90's that there won't be October baseball played in the Bronx.

So what is a Yankee fan left to do (besides rooting for 3rd place)? Well, let's assume that the Yankee fan in question hasn't already transitioned to football, because obviously that's the route many of us have gone. Let's assume that a Yankee fan is still excited and intrigued by the idea of October baseball, and is choosing a team or two to root for down the stretch. Let's list the options:

1. Boston Red Sox: about as likely as Barry Zito winning the 2008 NL Cy Young.

Likelihood to root for: 0%

2. Tampa Bay Rays: A team that offers a lot of intrigue. They sport two former Yankees... [Read More]
